Perfumes by Sarah Jessica Parker (Lovely, Covet & the Lovely Collection
Sarah Jessica Parker released her first Perfume Lovely in 2005. She worked with perfumers Laurent Le Guernec and Clement Gavarry for five years to develop Lovely. It is a light and sweet smelling fragrance containing top notes of Lavender, apple martini and bergamot. The middle and bottom notes contain creamy orchid and Cedar wood amongst other oils.
Lovely Liquid Satin Perfume was her first addition to the lovely line of perfumes. This fragrance was released in 2006, the main difference between this and the original perfume is that Liquid Satin is alcohol free and is silicone- based sprayable scent. It uses the same notes as Lovely and is a light fresh smelling scent.
Sarah wanted to make a more masculine fragrance after the success of Lovely, more daring. Sarah worked with perfumer Frank Volkl of Firmenich and perfume consultant Ann Gottieb to create Covet.
Covet was released in 2007, Sarah achieved her goal as this scent contrasts with perfume Lovely. Covet is a strong scent with blends of musk’s and chocolate, it lasts all day but is not overpowering.
Sarah added to her Covet perfume by creating Covet Pure Bloom. This perfume was released in 2008 and is a fruity floral fragrance containing top notes of plum, mandarin and coconut water. Heart notes of tuberose, pikake and jasmine and base notes of musk’s, amber, sandalwood and orris.
Sarah’s latest addition to her perfume range is the Lovely Collection. Released in early 2009, Sarah created three fragrances known as Dawn, Endless and Twilight.
Dawn is a light, fresh floral fragrance containing notes such as violet leaves, exotic orchids, Tahitian vanilla and musk’s. Endless is a more fruity floral scent, containing notes of red apples, oak moss, suede musk’s and sandalwood. Twilight is a romantic musk scent, containing bergamot, jasmine and sandalwood.
Sarah has had great success with her perfume range, managing to create a classic fragrance like Lovely is not an easy task and it is certain to be around for years to come. We look forward to seeing what other exciting perfumes she creates in the future.
