Perfume - Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker

Sarah Jessica Parker is best known for her role as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City. With the help of Patricia Fields, both Sarah and Carrie have become fashion icons. In addition to being a fashion icon, Sarah Jessica Parker is also a very successful business woman as well as actress, mother and wife.

One of her most successful ventures is her development of the Lovely perfume, in collaboration with Coty Inc. Lovely was created by Sarah and two of the most successful perfumers Laurent Le Guernec and Clement Gavarry.

Much work was undertaken to create this perfume, Sarah really cared about the development and was quoted as saying, “I’ve been invited into women’s lives and I take that seriously”. To show how serious she was about creating a truly amazing fragrance, the development process of this single Perfume took five years. Lovely was released into the market place in 2005. Sarah’s main aim was to create a timeless and ageless fragrance that can be worn by all ages.

The Perfume itself is made up of layering scents, a mixture of top notes which contains Lavender, apple martini and bergamot, the middle and bottom notes also contain creamy orchid and Cedar wood amongst other oils. The overall fragrance is not overpowering, it is a light sweet smelling fragrance that stays close to the skin. It can be described as a sophisticated and timeless fragrance.

The packaging of the bottle is just beautiful, light pink, small curved shaped bottle with a sleek gold writing to compliment the pink shades, extremely girly and feminine. 

Following the success of Lovely, Sarah has gone on to develop further scents in the form of Covet and most recently the lovely collection which contains three new scents named, Dawn, endless and twilight.
