Lovely By Sarah Jessica Parker vs Inspired vs True Star Gold

Here we are going to take a look at three popular celebrity perfumes, Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker, Inspired by Christina Aguilera and True Star Gold by Tommy Hilfiger - which although technically is not a celebrity's own attempt at perfume, it was inspired by Beyonce Knowles and with many celebs not having much input into their perfumes until they have been created we will still label it a celebrity perfume!

Inspired by Christina Aguilera has Top notes: delicious exotic fruit sorbet, sparkling tangerine and blackcurrant tea. Heart notes of jasmine, peony and plum. Base notes of musk, amber, precious woods mixed with the creamy vanilla and amber.

Beyonce Knowles' True Star has top notes of green watery elements of Provence melon, paired with golden kiwi and hints of red current; a heart of pumpkin flower combined with a soft floral nuance that includes the wetness of linden blossom and the softness of golden pollen, and a dry down of creamy milk notes paired with raspberry, honey, sisal, essence of lily and tulip wood.

Ignoring the name of the celebrity adorning the bottles, we look at the actual bottles themselves, how would they look on your dressing table amongst your other perfumes? Lovely comes in a beautiful simple and elegant bottle that would look against any other perfume.

The slight hint of pink to the Perfume itself adds to the overall look and its easy to guess that as much effort has been made in the packaging as the scent inside. Christina's Inspired is a similar bottle to SJP's Lovely but instead of retaining the girly innocence it has a slightly funkier feel with a less subtle silver lid. True Star Gold departs from the overly girly and elegant look with a more nightclub party feel to it. Its Gold top breathes bling and helps this bottle stand out from others.

While pricing may not be a feature in your celebrity perfume decision it is for a lot of people, especially in todays challenging climate. The pricing also becomes much more important if you choose to adopt one of these scents as your main fragrance as you will no doubt use at least a bottle every couple of months.
